Pre-Pointe Class is a technical ballet class with the emphasis being on the strengthening of the ankle and foot to prepare for pointe work. This class uses traditional Classical Ballet exercises and class with a heavy focus on releve and correct placement of the foot, ankle, knee and hip. Dancers work on a deeper understanding and ability to use each metatarsal and muscle of the foot and ankle. The student will develop a better control of the lower extremities so when pointe shoes are added they are strong and knowledgeable enough to be successful with less of a chance of injury.
