Mary Franklin

She began dancing with Goldsboro Ballet in 1979. In 1994 Mary moved to Panama where she ran the dance and gymnastics programs
at Albrook Howard AFB Youth Center. She put together the first Christmas program and Annual Spring performances for the Military
and Civilian families living in Panama. She finished her education at the University of South Alabama where she received a BS in
Physical Education with a Minor in Dance. She continued teaching in Mississippi at Donna's Visual and Performing Arts Center,
while also dancing with the USA Dance Ensemble.
Mrs. Franklin produced and Directed the Ballets; Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella,
Carnival of the Animals, Alice in Wonderland and the Nutcracker. She has choregraphed for many performing arts groups, such as Stage
Struck, Center Stage, Liturgical Dance Groups, Cheerleading teams and National Show Choir Champions. In 2000 Mary returned to Wayne
County where she now resides with her husband and 2 children.
